This particular Superman song was released right around the same time that Smallville debuted. No idea whether that was a coincidence. IIRC, the band appeared in an episode of Smallville, performing the song at a school dance.
Actually, that last sentence was wrong. IIRC, the school dance featured Three Doors Down performing their song Kryptonite.
