Another Gumby movie? Did they not SEE the last Gumby movie?

Because I saw the last Gumby movie. I had small children at the time, which meant that I saw and I saw and I saw and I SAW THE LAST GUMBY MOVIE

…sorry about that. Anyway, it’s even worse than you thought:

The Gumby universe, featuring the classic green clay figure, has been acquired by Fox.

The company is planning to reimagine the character created by Art Clokey for a new generation with new series across linear, digital and blockchain platforms

(#commissionearned)

There was no period in the original, by the way. I assume that this is because the editor saw the phrase “and blockchain platforms,” had an aneurysm of the spot, and nobody dared go in and finish the edits. Eventually they just extended a probe that remotely clicked publish on the screen, and vowed never to go to that particular site address again. It’s what I would have done, at least.

:pause:

Gumby. On the goram blockcha

  1. Seems appropriate to me.

Flexible, marginally popular solely because of hype, little in the way of production costs, those that buy in quickly regret doing so…

    That’s Gumby. Or blockchain.
