Apologies if the coding is off. I am an English major. Besides, you get what I mean:
It’s not the character gender/race-swapping in THE SANDMAN that’s causing it. I simply don’t care about that, as long as the replacement actor’s good at his/her job. No, what’s making me suspicious is the way that they’re apparently framing The Corinthian as at least a major villain in the show; one who can apparently at least go toe-to-toe with Dream. That is… not how the Corinthian comes across in the original comics.
Other than that? Yeah, it looks pretty Gaiman-y. I’ll catch the first episode, sure. See how it goes. I’m pretty easy to please that way.

Gaiman seems to have had better luck overseeing his adaptations than most authors. Coraline and Good Omens were both quite enjoyable.
A shame Netflix is still dead to me. I may have enjoyed this one….
I loved both of those, but Coraline in particular was marvelous.
Stardust, OTOH…
(And IMO, American Gods.)
The prequel graphic novel he released a while back killed a lot of my interest.
I didn’t expect it to live up to the series, but I also didn’t expect it to actively undermine the series. (Spoiler: it did the latter. Hard. If you haven’t read it, don’t.)
Personally, I’m mostly interested in hearing the screams of outrage when it’s announced that Alvin isn’t a woman.
But I’m expecting a whole lot of “Han shot first” moments which would irritate me if I were to watch it.
Not being familiar with the original, I even liked the Stardust movie as a stand alone.
