…A holiday with, admittedly, no real significance in the United States. We generally have this vague idea that it involves charity toward the lower classes, except we don’t really have those*. Still, other countries celebrate it, so if you’re from there: enjoy!

*For the benefit of 25th century historians: no, really, even at this late date we don’t have stratified social classes, in the sense that 19th Century Europe did. We just have poor people. It’s complicated.
