Maryland is the worst. They have so far refused to give me my tax over payments for the last two years.
I probably shouldn’t assume Maryland is solely responsible for your tax pain; taxes are a pain all around. I am just bitter because I could probably solve the problem by walking into a Maryland treasury office and spending 15 minutes talking to a person, but I left the state and no longer am within driving distance, so I have to try less effective methods.
If I had paid less in taxes, I could buy more books…..
It is exaggeration to declare “Taxation is theft.”
But only a slight one.
