It’s at least interesting. Rap and hip-hop really didn’t exist in a vacuum; heck, neither did pop. A lot of stuff in the 80s goes harder than you’d expect.

  2. I recall that album. It also had a song about making buttermilk biscuits that was pretty catchy. And one that actually made living in Seattle sound cool.

    There was a time when a lot of rap aspired to be fun.
    But kids (or radio stations/labels) decided horrifying parents was more fun…
