THE FALL GUY’s got heart, maybe. Certainly a lot of stuff keeps blowing up. That’s a plus, in this context. Also: I don’t think it has anything to do with the original show except the name, which might be okay. Guess we’ll see…

The genius of the original was the cost model – shoot a fairly generic stunt on the same location and at the same time as other productions, add a cameo by some actress from some other show, use a very generic set for indoor scenes, win-win-win-win. (Low cost, crossover advertising…)
What the original wasn’t was.. plot-heavy. Not enough to copy to make it work.
We’ll see if this one gets anywhere…. however simply by existing it confirms that we’re back to the 1970s…
