I’ve said this before, but I don’t know if I’ve said this here. I understand why people dislike Elon Musk, and he does display all the classic signs of a mountebank or charlatan… save one: he actually produces the product. It is genuinely a big deal to go from ‘rocket go boom’ to ‘hey, our EVA suits and tethers work in orbit‘ in less than twenty years. And, to be blunt about it: pretending otherwise merely makes people look like tedious dolts.

Elon Derangement Syndrome is as powerful as the Trump variant.
To be fair, a lot of his critics have been technophobic and opposed to Space development since the 1960s. They dislike Mr. Musk *because* he delivers rather than in spite of it. 😒
I was reflexively skeptical when he was still a Pop-leftoid.
Results won me over. Always respect results.
By that I mean, I thought he was just an okay engineer who got lucky, but who’s true genius was in marketing. He know how to get things done, either way.
