Back from the Old Glory Harley-Davidson Holiday event!

It was a fine time. They were quite welcoming to me over there, very friendly, and I was able to sell some books. I even got pancakes and sausages! If you’re looking to buy a motorcycle and you live near Howard County, I can say that Old Glory Harley would be a good place to go price one.

    1. You know how some people say that they don’t want a motorcycle, but they sound like they want to be convinced? I REALLY don’t want a motorcycle. It doesn’t have enough wheels or a rollbar, and I simply have neither the reflexes nor the stamina to drive one for any length of time. 🙂

      1. True story: I never wanted a bike. Seriously, the idea never crossed my mind. My wife, however, told me over and over that she was going to have a Harley in the garage one day. I thought she was just nattering, as wives sometimes do. But again, my interest was never piqued in the slightest.

One day, she insisted that we go to the local dealership. After fending off the salesman – “I don’t want a bike, she’s your customer, talk to her” – I wandered around the dealership for a bit while she discussed bikes with the salesman. Lo and behold, just like in the movies, a ray of sunshine came in and focused squarely on the same model bike as the one in Terminator 2, and I swear before all that is holy, I heard the angels on Ariels in leather and chrome singing, and I was hooked.

She never got a Harley (ended up getting a different brand), but I’m on my second.
