There needs to be a word…

…for the sudden realization that the sleazy rationalization that you came up to not do something with is actually a valid reason.  “Well, I can’t go drop off that check just yet.  It’s almost 9 AM; surely the highway’s going to be in the middle of rush hour traffic.  …No, wait, it actually will be.”

Yeah, that’s pretty much all I have for the night.

  1. While you’re coming up with that word, you can also come up with one to describe those of us who are too old to get caught up the “just one more level” trap, and are trying to function on three hours of sleep.

    I may be gnawing on someone and muttering “brains” before the day is through.
    (Btw, Titanfall 2 is good. But don’t start playing it at 2200.)

    1. Heh. I was woken up at 5:30 this morning to find a set of keys which were hanging on the hook all along. I need a word that describes the careful wave of no-thought that enveloped my brain as an instinctive reaction. 🙂

  2. I think you need an acronym for this one. Something like Retroactively Reconciled Rationalization (RRR) or something like that. If you wanted to be clever, you choose the acronym first and then fill in the words with the proper meaning. Unfortunately, I am not that clever.
