A friend of a friend does 3D-printing templates for RPG purposes — and, in passing: 3-D printing is proving to be a boon for people who like RPG miniatures — and he’s just put up DRAGONLOCK Ultimate: GM Screen of DOOM up at RPG.net. Looks pretty sweet, people. I don’t have a 3-D printer because I don’t have room for one, but if I did I’d be printing out stuff like this for as long as the feedstock held out.
…’Feedstock.’ Probably has a tank for it, too. Dang, but I love the future sometimes.
Gotta agree – “feedstock” is the *perfect* term for the filament.
And thanks for posting this – Tom’s a good guy.
And BTW: One doesn’t need to own a 3D printer to use these – there are retail printing services available, and many public libraries and universities offer printing services for free or at a reduced cost.
Jut an FYI.
