02/06/2020 Book Report.

Today we looked at updated expenses for the book itself, and how they affected calculations for when to hold the Kickstarter. And by ‘we’ I mean my wife was looking over my shoulder, as she’s kind of smarter than me and does budgets and stuff already like that. This is turning into a fairly impressive spreadsheet, in its way.

The conclusion I’m coming to is that I should run the Kickstarter in April. If I do and it funds I can hope to have everything paid for by July; if it gets past my private expectations I’ll have everything paid for by May*. If I don’t fund with this Kickstarter I’ll still probably be able to cover everything by August, thanks to the Patreon money and what not. Assuming a month for last minute stuff, the book should be ready to go between June and September of this year, which will fulfill various personal vows that I have made on the subject so that’s all right, then.

So that puts everything a bit more into focus, hey? Yay! One step further along the path of no longer having the luxury of excuses!

…Yay.

*The artwork should be ready by May anyway, which is a reasonable time-frame and one that I freely signed off on. I don’t want to have a time crunch on any of this, my first time out. That can come later.
