I mean, really, why the heck should the people who made SCOOB! care about my opinion about this? I’m almost fifty! …I mean, in, like, three weeks and stuff. This movie isn’t for me, honestly. It’s for my children, although I wonder if they’ll approve of the animation or voice actors, either. It’s different.

Well. That certainly does appear to be something about 90 minutes in length.
Yeah. The thing that gets me is, they can make *good* Scooby-Doo shows. So why don’t they?
Come on, don’t go pretending like the SB franchise was ever anywhere close to being quality. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x6uWpOsx4vo
Scooby-Doo: Mystery Incorporated. HP Lovecraft shout-outs, Harlan Ellison, Blue Falcon as re-imagined by Frank Miller, and a mega-plot that I will not spoil here but involves Velma missing a SAN check. Seriously, this is it. SDMI is the true quill:

Sadly, this showed up after Junior Cat was no longer “into cartoons” and, IIRC, during a “no budget for cable” period.

Never saw it, in other words.
.
Will see if it’s available to stream somewhere.

Currently available to stream 2 seasons worth on netflix.
.
Also, show-stealer Patrick Warburton makes regular appearances, proving that it is quality entertainment.
I will defend the live action film (at least the first one. They’ve apparently done 5 of them now) was well done. And a James Gunn script. Plus, the initial teaser trailer remains a highlight in movie trolling: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fKqZ1Sv4aX0

Oh they very much care about strip-mining your nostalgia and hooking your kids with you as their surrogate. Or they SHOULD. It’s worked for Disney the last generation or so.

It looks like it Might Not Suck.
… I’d like for it to not suck, but .. much will depend on the pacing. It feels .. off.

Anyway…

Onward review?
Haven’t seen it yet. I spent most of the week wondering if I had the coronavirus. š
