Short version: my Kindle Unlimited page reads have fallen off of a dang cliff. And I mean fall. Word is that the per-page rate has likewise decreased, which sounds like we might be on the verge of a vicious cycle where fewer books available result in fewer KU reads, which leads to lower page rates, which leads to fewer books… you can see where that can end up. (Oh, yeah: buy my books! And Kindle Vella stories!)
Anyway, I was already planning to have GHOSTS ON AN ALIEN WIND be available on multiple platforms, as an experiment. Now I’m wondering whether it’ll be the harbinger of me taking my other novels out of KU circulation (they’d still be available on Kindle), and doing the annoyingly tedious work of putting them up on B&N and whatnot. I dunno. Guess we’ll see after the new novel’s published.
