That one hurts.
The first “grown up” show I watched religiously and of my own volition.
On the bright side, it doesn’t look like nostalgia bait. The characters are different, their roles are different, the setup is different, they didn’t even use the iconic theme song in the trailer.
It looks like they used the existent IP to get the movie they wanted to make greenlit, and otherwise ignored it entirely.
That’s .. possibly a better fate than the IP deserved… and I am fine with that.

Colt Seavers was a BOUNTY HUNTER. He had a crew. Howie Munsen and Jody Banks helped him bring in wanted criminals. Yes, it was stupid. But it was the kind of stupid we grew up with. It was an innocent kind of stupid that doesn’t exist anymore. There’s no reason to drag it through today’s mud.
Why do they hate us so much? WHY?
