The most amusing part of this artifact is pondering just who, in each epic disaster, was holding the cursed sword…
Much conjecture depends on just how subtle the blade is… was it stored in the British Museum after the Napoleonic campaigns, or perhaps it was in Antwerp then and moved to the museum after WWII …
Does it count if the blade is in a college’s collection, or does it have to be actively wielded to determine the cause that will be destroyed?
Just what does ‘defeated’ mean to a sword? Is discredited and unemployable sufficient, or must there be bloodshed and mayhem?
Interesting to ponder… alas, I don’t have the time to wonder why Von Braun had it, nor where it went from Huntsville …
