Power it off and restart it. Mine acted like keys were “stuck” until I did that.

Are you talking about the on-screen keyboard, or about a separate physical keyboard?
If it’s the touchscreen, is the screen responsive when you touch it where the “dead” keys appear? If so, it’s probably a software problem; if not, it means your touchscreen is the culprit.
If you have a separate keyboard, it may mean that something has gone wrong with one of the row or column strobe lines (the keys are at intersections of what amounts to a grid of horizontal and vertical wires that complete a circuit when a key is pressed), or it may mean that the chip that drives these lines is bad. Or that someone spilled a Coke, and the electrical contacts in the keys are gummed up.
Murgatroyd: it’s a separate keyboard. Assuming a Coke spill is the culprit (it’s about the only thing I have any hope of fixing on my own), how do I clean the contacts?
