I’m very sorry, Mr. President, but you’re simply not cool enough…

…to get away with this kind of language:

‘You know, kids have good instincts,’ Obama offered. ‘They look at the other guy and say, “Well, that’s a bullsh[*]tter, I can tell.”’”

But don’t feel bad: Rolling Stone isn’t really cool enough to get away with this kind of language any more, either.  I know, I know, I’m supposed to be outraged.  It’s just that you and it are both aging pop-culture media entities that crested a while back and are now kind of… chugging along.  I don’t really have what you’d call expectations from either of you, at this point.

Sorry?

  1. Is it .. unkind .. to point out that Rolling Stone (and Barack Obama) are well past the “don’t trust anyone over 30” mark?
    .
    It is? Too bad.

  2. I can’t believe no one is picking up on an even worse angle of this quote. Obama is quoting the imaginary voice of a child…who is using this language! A better Drudge headline would be: “Obama: Kids think Romney a ‘Bullshitter.'”

  3. Would it be Racist of me to point out that Barry is using ‘Street Language’ here?
Oh, it is ? That’s O K then, as I have distant relatives in South Africa.
You should see what I get sent…, always around the Holidays.
It could-a been a symptom……nice to know it is just me, being me.
