For a while there after 9/11, I was hearing it played non-ironically during fireworks shows on the Fourth of July. Which, fan though I am of America being the ultimate power in the universe, was still a little creepy.
Yeah, I can see how that could be jarring. It was still perfect for my wedding reception, though. 🙂
3-400 years??
I wouldn’t doubt that it will be used in January 2017 when Buraq Hussein is inaugurated as President for Life.
I’ve always also liked the Starship Troopers theme, even if the movie sucked as an adaptation. I can see this being used in the future as well.
