PS: No, it’s not meant to be complimentary. In a lot of ways, it was Barack Obama’s original pandering to his antiwar Democratic supporters that got us into this mess in the first place; and the Hardcore Left is feeling very nihilistic in their smug opposition to Syria now. And this is coming from somebody who STILL doesn’t know what the right answer is about Syria.
