If so… well. And they wonder why Hillary Clinton lost the nomination in 2008.
Top Hillary Clinton aide Huma Abedin has been given an ultimatum: dump serial-sexting hubby Anthony Weiner, or get out of Clintontown.
“Huma has a choice to make,” a close associate tells New York magazine. “Does she go with Anthony, or does she go with Hillary?”
Abedin’s decision over whether to leave the “Clinton bubble,” where she’s seen as Hillary’s most trusted aide, has emerged as “the biggest question among Hillary’s circle” as the former Secretary of State mulls a 2016 run for the White House, the magazine reports.
Whoever blabbed that did the former Secretary of State no favors. The suggestion that a politician would order her closest aide to leave the aide’s husband and the father of her child… well, that doesn’t exactly jibe with the narrative that most politicians prefer to at least simulate. Not that Hillary takes my calls anymore, but if she did I’d be telling her to make it known that this sort of rumor was complete nonsense. Even if it wasn’t complete nonsense.
[pause]
Especially if it was complete nonsense, come to think of it.

Moe Lane
I don’t see what the surprise is. Being loyal to your wife, paying your taxes, and being a Jew is no way to advance in the Democrat party……
I thought Huma already goes with Hillary.
In light of certain revelations, are you all that surprised Moe?
I don’t actually believe those rumors.
Yes, I can’t imagine Bill sitting on those rumors when he was going down in flames. Not one to suffer in silence, our buddy Bill…..
It doesn’t matter if it’s true, in the words of LBJ “I just want to hear [her] deny it”
That 16 year reprieve of Clinton Sex Scandals was nice while it lasted, wasn’t it Moe.
But you are taking serious THESE rumors? Come on Moe, these two rumors reinforce each other. One cannot believe one or the other. You either accept both or reject both.
.
I was personally rejecting the first rumor until this one came around. Now the Hillary/Huma “special” relationship makes sense.
They do reinforce each other from a certain point of view. That does not imply that they both have to be true, or both have to be false.
.
I’m inclined to believe both. (The first one more from an experience one of my wife’s friends had, than any stories coming from the beltway gossip machine.)
I’m not, however, inclined to believe that they’re related. There are good reasons for her to not want to see her name in the same sentence as Weiner, without reaching for the love triangle.
That is a very interesting picture: Huma leaning in close to supposedly listen to Hillary but her eyes are not taking any part of the conversation.
