The enrollment records for a significant portion of the Americans who have chosen health plans through the online federal insurance marketplace contain errors — generated by the computer system — that mean they might not get the coverage they’re expecting next month.
The errors cumulatively have affected roughly one-third of the people who have signed up for health plans since Oct. 1, according to two government and health-care industry officials. The White House disputed the figure but declined to provide its own.
Bolding mine. Yeah, at some point the administration really should get through its collective head the unfortunate truth that, when you’ve messed something up as badly as the Democratic party leadership has messed up health care, you don’t get to have the luxury of stonewalling. Taking the administration’s word on things… well, that ship has, as they say, sailed*.

PS: Let me take this opportunity to thank the Washington Post for all its hard work in getting elected the very Democrats who have gotten us into this health care mess. I have a radical suggestion for the paper: how about they sit out the next election cycle? – As in, not have an opinion on who should win. Because I don’t trust the WaPo’s judgement any more, either.
*It’s not that people don’t trust Barack Obama. To be honest about it, by 2006 people largely didn’t trust George W. Bush, either, and he went on to stabilize Iraq. No, it’s that people are perfectly justified in mistrusting Barack Obama. Bush had reserves of determination and administrative competence that Obama simply lacks.

They are hoping to keep it alive long enough to develop a critical mass of “winners” to oppose the critical mass of “losers” that the law is creating on it’s own.
The judgement of the old media et al is, or should be, suspect.

Had a tangential conversation in another fora recently about how few media outlets there really are anymore .. most cities used to have two or more competing papers, with notably different points of view; they consolidated at some point, and the liberal one is now the dominant (if not only) voice.

Yes, the internet (MoeLane.com included) is making this better, but .. miles and miles (if not parsecs) to go before “More people get their news from …” is false.

Long way around to say the media being in the tank for candidates is a real problem when the overwhelming majority of media determine the ideological lockstep they’re going to march in, then find candidates to match.
