I am prone to the odd bout of sentimentality.
They were going with a more T. Rex look, but I get what you’re saying. It was not well done.

However classic Godzilla look… cartoon-ish, if you know what I mean. All the other classic Kaiju looked wickedly cool, except Godzilla. He had a muppet head. It was sad really.
