(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman, Aretha Franklin
This was on a soundtrack that I had on tape, of all things. Wish I could remember which one.

This song oppresses Trans* people!
I would pay good money to see a trans activist try to make an issue of it. S/he would end up dodging the brickbats of the very people that s/he was presuming to be an activist for: because it’s, you know, Aretha.
Hey nineteen
That’s ‘Retha Franklin
She don’t remember the Queen of Soul …
Today’s anticisgenderist activists are college-age knowitall twits who have no frakkin’ clue who Aretha was. (“History begins with me!”)
It’s far more likely that the activists will end up turning on each other in factional disputes over intersectionality, the issue of who can claim the most moral outrage over being oppressed.
But any way you look at it, Ms. Franklin is an apologist for white privilege, the patriarchy, and PIV, so she must be destroyed.
Was it the soundtrack to “The Big Chill”?
It might very well be: I know I had that soundtrack.
