But I have to ask: why the shocked cheers?

…They’re showing you Batman. Everybody knows that Batman v. Superman is coming. So it is not exactly a surprise to see Superman on the screen, there. Just saying, that’s all.
Moe Lane
PS: Batman would win, of course.
Yes Batman would win, because Bats wouldn’t care if he died, just as long as he won. Everything, including himself, is just a chess piece, to Bruce Wayne.
That said, I wasn’t sold on Man of Steel. I’m not pleased with the general disdain from Zach Snyder on anything resembling color in costumes, and while I still think Gal Gadot would make a good Wonder Woman, I’m not convinced she can with THIS steaming pile of drek.
Really, her costume makes the feminist-appeasing JMS blue-jean Diana look appealing.
I really, badly, want to see a screen Wonder Woman that works as a character.
The animated Wonder Woman movie with Kerri Russell and Nathan Fillion wasn’t bad.
I’ll have to check it out.
And of course the trailer is gone. grr.
Well, I grew up with George Reeves as Superman, and Adam West as Batman. George wins this easily….
