Tweet of the Day, I Wonder Whether Marco Rubio Is Self-Leaking This Stuff, Too edition.

Because stories like this won’t hurt him.

I mean, wow. Marco Rubio took some of the money that he got from a book deal and bought himself a boat. Does anybody in the New York Times actually talk to anybody outside of their cozy little epistemic closure bubble? …I mean, aside from people at Politico, of course.

PS: Hey, New York Times: $14 million net loss for the last operating quarter, I believe? Since we’re keeping track, and everything.

  1. What bothers them, of course, isn’t his financial struggles. It’s that he’s not *properly* rich like them, yet refuses to do obeisance to their indulgent* welfare-state.

*Not “overly generous”, but medieval “bribe-away-the-guilt-of-my-opulence” indulgence. OR both, really.

  2. “I’m not 100% unconvinced that the Rubio campaign isn’t the source on these Rubio leaks”

If they aren’t, they ought to send them a thank you note along with a dozen roses. Really.

  3. i’m just wondering… as speaker of the florida house, how clean could he have been there? there’s got to be someone there who hates his guts and will spill beans, real or imaginary.

    1. I dunno, man. They tried running with his wife’s traffic violations; that argues that maybe they don’t have much in the way of alternatives.
