Ah, the AFL-CIO:
Someone let the geniuses at the @AFLCIO know the text of the TPA bill is online http://t.co/n1H859CYhr

And they wonder why they have to force people to join their unions.

I thought that the secret bit was the draft trade agreement, the TPP. TPA is just the bill that ensures the TPP gets an up or down vote (no filibuster) in congress. They get conflated because it’s assumed that whatever the contents of the TPP, it will get passed, so the TPA vote is effectively the real vote.

All the angst on the right is that no one trusts Obama to make a good deal/not give away the store and congressional behavior since NOV has stripped them of any faith they won’t go along with a bad deal.

The angst on the left is standard issue class warfare attempt to make good with the blue collar voters they’ve been giving the finger too for the last 8 years. It’s a front.
Agreed. The TPP text is still secret, and still what the fight is over.
Yep, so .. rather than pointing out that the text of the bill authorizing fast track is, in fact, online .. someone may wish to educate the AFL/CIO that “fast track ain’t the problem here” …
.
I’m honestly not sure which is more amusing/depressing.
