If Trump is the nominee, you will have to get used to stuff like this.

Admittedly, if Trump is the nominee it won’t be my problem except in the most general sense, but it’s gonna be a problem for a bunch of people, including quite a few that I generally wish well. Said wishes would be of course utterly useless, but I’d still make ’em.

  1. if Trump is the nominee I’m going to ruthlessly cull my social media and focus on games and cat videos for a few years.

      1. Not much, sadly, unless your video happens to be one of the few that goes viral. I’ve explored that avenue, believe me. It would beat actual work.

        Personally, I’ve always thought that there is a career to be made in being “the lookalike.” You know, the guy/gal producers or advertisers get when someone much more famous is out of their price range. (Like, you’re casting for a father/daughter movie, but you can’t afford Matthew Broderick and Mila Kunis, so you hire Jon Cryer and Sarah Hyland.) Have you considered that avenue?

        Alternatively, I hear that William Devane is getting on in years, and without him, we won’t have anyone to sell us gold. Build your own following now, and who knows?

        (I know these aren’t helpful suggestions. But we’ve all seen you’re going through a rough patch right now, and I figured maybe I could make you smile for a minute.)

        1. It’s actually better than last week. No sinus infection, for one thing. Also, I loathe it when campaigns just give up without trying. Easiest way in the world to lose.

    2. I suppose, in a sense, it’s true. He hasn’t changed his party registration, has he? Then, loyal Republican. (Loyal to the party’s principles, on the other hand…or to the people in the party…well, I know what you meant.)

      Me, on the other hand, I’m going to have a real decision about whether to change my voter registration in the event that Trump wins the nomination.

  3. being in ohio, i have no dog in this fight yet…. but think for a minute about pulling the lever for bernie. he needs all the help we can give him.

  4. Mitt Romney was the most decent upstanding citizen to run for president in nearly one hundred years.

    Remember the country-wide acclaim as he was elected and inaugurated?

    Because I am forgetting a lot of things right now and that really isn’t there.

  5. That moment you realize that Mitt Romney was the most conservative Republican presidential candidate that you’ll see in your lifetime (since Ronald Reagan).
