Looks to be rather brutally lacking in sentiment. I’m not sure if I can play this game, actually. I mean, if it’s eat people to death or die yourself then the ethical thing to do here is to lie down in an open field and wait for sunrise, right?

The “Who will take care of my boy” was quite the thing.
Although murder is murder, I have to wonder if things would be different if it were several hundred years ago, and death were an expected and frequent visitor.
Hmmm. I dunno. Kind of reminds me of Vampire: The Masquerade Redemption from a dialogue point of view.

Certainly if the gameplay trailer is the only thing there is: “Meet new people- and drain them dry!” all while also hearing all the horrible things you have unleashed and done, then there is not much here. I have to hope that they are allowing for “Good” pathways, and we just saw the more monstrous ones. Otherwise, it’s evil and nihilism all the way down.

Question: How do the Hunters know you are a vampire on sight, but the Priest did not?
I assume that the Hunters are getting a lot of false positives and shrugging them off.
Also, speaking of questionable morality, did anyone else see the trailer for the Sovi… I mean Russian “Avengers” like team? It’s called the “Guardians.”

*monotone* Yay. Hagiography for one of the most murderous regimes in history. *sigh*
Yes, I was not amused by that.

Sadly, communism is going to be one of those political systems that’s just “waiting for the people who can do it right” for .. pretty much the rest of time.

I’m kind of waiting for Hollyweird to discover “Red Son”.. or, rather, to think it could be made into a movie …

Is that the Superman one? Dear God in Heaven, I have been trying to merely forget even the concept of that since I heard about it.

No, just no.
It doesn’t look to be nearly as interesting as Masquerade Bloodlines. Check out his review (make sure you select HD):

The original game has been patched and modified extensively, addressing the concerns expressed in the review. It is available on Steam for $20.
I would definitely recommend that you follow a walkthrough your first time. The builds are fairly unforgiving. You can easily gimp yourself.
This is fairly good: http://www.gamefaqs.com/pc/914819-vampire-the-masquerade-bloodlines/faqs/43148
Look, it’s gonna be a while before they get a vampire game as good as VTM Bloodlines (the fan-fixed version) out.
