Sort of successful on the Aurora Borealis front.

As in, my wife and I went out on a lovely, clear night to look at the stars. We found a dark spot, along with a bunch of other people, and then the person with the best camera got the settings to work right so that we could all see it. Success! I can check that off now, more or less.

Alas, no good pictures on my end. My wife and I discussed the possibilities of an Iceland trip on the drive back. I like volcanoes, and think Vikings are pretty cool; she likes Vikings, and thinks volcanoes are pretty neat. So this might end up being a retirement trip at some point.
