Combination of new video game, lingering illness, busy around the house, and just a general maybe I need a vacation. Sorry. I gotta get back on track for November.

Mostly the eldest kid was home sick, and I’m vaguely under the weather, too. Not the Dread Covid, at least; just a cold. I didn’t miss those.

Some weeks are fun, some are not. This was not one of the fun ones. I think a decent night’s sleep will help, though.

I’m fine, just operating without an energy reserve. I need to get a good deal of sleep and recharge. And winter break starts tomorrow! No more getting up to make sure the kids are off to school at highly ridiculous hours. At least, for a couple of weeks.

I felt like everybody was yelling in my ear today and nothing got done. Maybe it’s a seasonal issue. Or maybe I need to spend the weekend cleaning the house, or something. I dunno.

Nothing specific, just a cascading series of issues and whatnot and sometimes things stubbornly refuse to be fun, hey? I just… stepped off on the wrong foot, and didn’t get it right the whole day. It happens, I guess.

Although I was glad to get that airplane idea done. Had that thought in the shower and spent most of today trying to get in the right headspace to write it out. So, not totally unproductive, me.

It’s been that kind of week. My wife is waking me up at the crack of unholy dawn tomorrow to get a walk in, which should help. Or at least galvanize. And this weekend I get a few days to myself. A vacation would be lovely, really.

Although that may be partially from the cold which I either have, or I don’t, and I wish I’d make up my mind about that. Also, the kids were home, which eats up time too. At least the weather was nice…
