Dealing with stuff today.

Mostly the eldest kid was home sick, and I’m vaguely under the weather, too. Not the Dread Covid, at least; just a cold. I didn’t miss those.

  1. Eh. The boundary is getting vaguer all the time.
The Common Cold is comprised of coronaviruses as well as rhinoviruses. As immunity is gained, and the mutating virus becomes less virulent under the pressures of natural selection, Covid will become the Common Cold.
    If it hasn’t already.

(Shrug) I caught Covid in the first wave. It was a really nasty flu. I caught the Delta variant in the early 2021 wave. It was a really nasty cold. I’ve probably caught it a couple of times since then. I currently have a minor cold which arrived with a case of the galloping trots, so I might even have it currently.

    1. After I got COVID once, more recently I got noravirus which was a much more unpleasant experience, as well as being more contagious. Since then it’s been the occasional cold or flu, with vaccines for various variants thrown in when the powers that be insist.
