Which is, by the way, an amazing way to get the McDonald’s drive-thru line to clear out ahead of you. Anyway, nothing exploded, and turning the heat all the way up cooled down the engine enough for me to get the car home. On the other hand, I was exposed enough to have my eyes start watering, and I took an immediate nap for a couple of hours, so I’ve decided to run at reduced capacity for the rest of the day. In a little bit I’ll go look at the car and figure out what happened.
On the gripping hand, I suspect that what happened is going to be expensive, possibly to the point where my car guy’s gonna remind me that he buys them. This may still be a great time to sell a car, but by definition it’d also be a bad time to sell one. Which reminds me: I sell books, and I have a Patreon…
