Pretty much: my CPAP died, and I am discovering right now that replacing the damned thing is apparently not going to be a simple issue. I’m hearing things like “You’ll need a prescription” and “you’ll need a new sleep study” and “we can do a preliminary appointment on Monday to figure out when you can see a doctor for a referral” and whatnot. And apparently the damned things are made out of solid platinum, or need to be blessed by three holy men and one union shop steward, because they’re expensive. And you need a prescription to buy one, usually; apparently, God forbid you should just go to the store and find a device that will push humidified air up your nose.
Shorter Moe Lane: kind of bleary-eyed, here. Sorry. It may take a few days to resolve.
