So. Looks like I’m seeing FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY’S 2 this Halloween.

God help me.

Josh Hutcherson starred in one of 2023 biggest box office success stories — the horror video game adaptation “Five Nights at Freddy’s” — and he recently told Variety that things are moving along on the second chapter. Hutcherson, who is currently on the press circuit for the action movie “The Beekeeper,” suggested the status of a “Five Nights at Freddy’s” sequel is looking good.

Date via GeekTyrant, which is eager to see the film on its own merits. Me, I just want my kid to enjoy it as much as he did the first one. If that means restraining myself from rolling my eyes right out of my sockets? Well, so be it.

I dunno if I’m seeing this. I don’t really have an urge to see this, but my older kids loves horror flicks and my younger one loves FNaF lore. Not the game; the lore. He watches the fan-made music videos and the short movies that people make using the plushies and he makes his own movies using his own plushies. The thing is, this movie is PG-13, so my youngest may not want to watch it at the moment. It has yet to be determined.

I wonder if I’m going to have to go see the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie.

My kids are into that stuff; the creepypastas, in particular. There is an entire fan genre of Five Nights at Freddy’s videos, songs, plushies – dear God, the plushies! – and usually I just let it all wash over and past me. I don’t know if I will have that option for this…
