Tragic news: the kids are going to Nana’s.

Something about ‘beach days’ and ‘spoiling them rotten.’  We make the switch halfway, they spend the rest of the week at their aunts’ and grandmother’s.  Don’t know how I’m going to cope; no, wait, I do.  I’m going to steam-clean the carpet.

Yesssss.

More seriously, a little busy tonight, so probably no gaming stuff unless inspiration strikes late. Which it might.  You never know.

Going on mini-Pennsic vacation! With the kids*!

Gonna be busy for the next couple days, and downright absent for a couple more.  I gotta bring the phone, but other than that don’t be surprised if this site does update at all over the weekend.  We are going to try to, you know, breathe fresh air and chill the heck out.

PS: OK. I may bring the Kindle. Or I may just bring some, hey, physical books and whatnot.  It’ll be interesting to see what happens first: relaxation, or withdrawal.

*…Pray for us.

Well, the kids are back…

…the wife will be wandering back in at some point in the next few days. It will all depend on just how hot and humid western Pennsylvania gets between now and Saturday, really.  So… things are getting back to normal.  I’ve had better holidays, to be honest; but it wasn’t a complete waste and I’m not a factory worker in Shanghai, so what do I have to complain about, hey?

Either Suicide Squad or Star Trek today…

…haven’t decided yet, although I suspect that Suicide Squad might be ahead on points. Also, either the Home Depot (I need childproofing stuff and maybe some twine) or the Asian market afterward. I haven’t decided THAT yet, either. Alas, the vacation is getting compressed because my kids will be coming back from their Nana’s four days early; fortunately, all the really hard craft projects were already done. The rest can be spaced out between now and Tuesday.

Fun day today.

Two concerts – sea shanties and 18th century Baroque – an interconnected museum tour, a carriage ride, and of course rum punches and the like. Nice to have a day that’s not particularly run-around-and-do-this, you know? My wife and I needed the break.

And now I’m going to zonk out. Because, hey, rum punches.
