I’m going to start putting links to these the day after I post ’em on RS, the better to smooth out content, but this one about a bill requiring lobbyists to disclose when they’re having sex with politicians is too funny to miss. For given values of ‘too funny:’ which is to say, highly esoteric ones. Not that the bill will ever pass, of course. Lobbyists, remember?

How could anyone possibly oppose this?
Aside from lobbyists? 🙂
Does Rule 34 apply to this?

I’m asking for a friend.
It’s not, if it were to be passed, that anyone would expect anyone to actually report.
The kicker is: when they don’t report, then when they are found out, they are in violation of the reporting requirements.
Has no one read up on Al Capone and income tax reporting???
A better version would be to also have the legislator report such a transaction.
Hmmm. Are there any penalties for false disclosure — a lobbyist claiming to have had sex with a politician when he or she or xe hadn’t? I can see all sorts of opportunities for mischief here …
