Somebody considers how to cast Marvel’s Civil War in previous decades.

I don’t agree with all of these, but the person’s got a good eye for the Hawkeye role and a 1970s Peter O’Toole would have been entertaining as heck as Tony Stark. Possibly not all that great as Iron Man, but definitely he’d be an entertaining Stark. Ach, well. The special effects would have been awful, anyway.

  1. They seem to be going for pairings (Emilo Estevez and Charlie Sheen), so for Danny Glover, why not 80’s Mel Gibson as Tony Stark?

Oh, I forgot, he has been sent to the island of misfit toys. Or sent himself, rather.

  2. On a slightly skewed note, I would have liked to have seen a 1970s Dune with Orson Welles as Baron Harkonnen and John Carradine as Thufir Hawat.
