…haven’t decided yet, although I suspect that Suicide Squad might be ahead on points. Also, either the Home Depot (I need childproofing stuff and maybe some twine) or the Asian market afterward. I haven’t decided THAT yet, either. Alas, the vacation is getting compressed because my kids will be coming back from their Nana’s four days early; fortunately, all the really hard craft projects were already done. The rest can be spaced out between now and Tuesday.
Saw Star Trek on my birthday since my sister paid my way. I liked it. Haven’t seen SS so I can’t comment there.
Loved them both, so it’s hard to judge. But I’m going to go with recommending the Squad if for no reason than to get it a better opening weekend. A fun mindless popcorn flick, and Harley was pitch perfect.
From what I have been seeing/hearing:
.
Beyond: Best of the three movies, hands down.
.
Suicide Squad: Best of the DCU movies, but still flawed.
Well, I figure that whatever I don’t see today I see tomorrow anyway, because vacation.
I’d go with Trek first. I liked Suicide Squad more than the critics did, but Beyond is probably the better film, even if it’s Trek-ness felt off at times.
Haven’t seen Suicide Squad yet. Enjoyed Trek, but it has a poignancy to it, because Anton Yelchin. Also Leonard, but we’ve had some time to process his passing.
