The cynical side of me is thinking at least I now know what it takes to get regular Americans to sing along with the national anthem at a public event.
Goosebumps…receding. Wow. America rocks….kicks @** and takes names.
I grew up near Boston, back in the 60’s, was a big Red Sox fan, and all I can say is Wow. Good on the Red Sox, good on the singer, good on the fans.
This reminds me of Game 5 of Anaheim Ducks 2007 Stanley Cup–SSGT Juan Contreras (beautiful voice) sang the National Anthem. Alanis Morissette had sung ‘O, Canada’ in Ottawa Game 4, and let the crowd take over half-way through. Not to be outdone, SSGT Contreras showed her HOW it’s done. Check it out on Youtube. My husband and I were there, not a dry eye.
That video gave me hope for today. We will not go quietly into the darkness. God bless those kind people.
