Iowahawk noticed the exact same thing that I did.
The lowest monthly UE rate under this president > than the highest monthly UE rate under his predecessor. This has never happened before.

George W. Bush’s highest unemployment rate was 7.8%. Barack Obama’s lowest rate, to date, is 7.9%. Unlike many people out there, I think that Barack Obama tried very hard to get that rate down and did the best job that he was capable of, but it was apparently just too hard for him to personally manage. I think that it’s time that somebody else got a shot at it.

PS: Getting 171K jobs was a good thing, of course. We should always thank people for their efforts.
Obama’s lowest rate was last month (7.8%, a full bullhockey # though) not 7.9%. Point stands though, he hasn’t gotten the job done, time to go.
PS – half the jobs gained seem to be government hiring – shocked, gambling, winnings, sir, etc.
Darin H: I’m actually getting the impression that the BLS is in the middle of revising last month’s unemployment rate and it hasn’t been propagated through the system yet. I’m keeping an eye out for that, although it’s probably academic at this point anyway.
I can never read the phrase ‘he meant well’ without thinking of that C.S. Lewis quote:
Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron’s cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.
Probably right Moe (and that number was BS in the first place anyways)
