One of the two students removed from Oberlin College earlier this year for allegedly circulating virulently racist, anti-Jewish and anti-gay messages around campus is an ardent leftist and committed supporter of President Obama, The Daily Caller News Foundation has learned.
Dylan Bleier, one of the two students, hosted a voter registration drive in a Walmart parking lot sponsored by Organizing for Action, the community organizing project that advances the agenda of President Obama.

Bleier also listed his participation in a group called Ithaca White Allies Against Structural Racism.
Jeez. Time for the Talk, again: if it sounds too ‘good’ to be true, it probably is. The year is 2013, not 1933. Openly racist, and anti-Semitic, and homophobic, statements of the kind found at Oberlin College earlier this year are generally considered unsafe to utter in public, largely because the authorities come down on the offenders like the proverbial ton of bricks, complete with the public’s enthusiastic approval. While I agree that bigots are in fact dumb, they are often not stupid: they can recognize negative reinforcement. All of which means that if you hear reports of campuses suddenly sprouting swastikas and the N-word and antiquated slogans decrying interracial sexual relations, it has become increasingly clear that before you decide that Space Nazis from Dimension X are popping through a wormhole in the Student Union you should first check the local progressive and/or Democratic groups for any people with both a perverse nostalgia for the bad old days of the Struggle, and not enough brains to tan the hide of a pygmy shrew.
As it was in this case, apparently. I mean, really: “White Allies Against Structural Racism?” It’d be a viable strategy to walk in to a meeting, grab the first white guy (it’ll be a guy, probably) that comes into view, and confidently accuse him of the crime. Seven times* out of ten, he’ll either have done it, or knows the guy who did.

Fun fact: Official title of the Nazis Party is “National Socialist Workers Party”. Point this out to a committed liberal/progressive and watch their heads explode. To further piss them off, make a point that they are not socialist themselves so why should they care. Logic is their kryptonite.
