Fake Steve Scalise racism story shopped to blogger by vengeful Scalise opponent.

Not much to add to this story, except for two things:

  1. The Hill should probably start telling its readers soon that Steve Scalise actually talked to a local residents’ association, and not a white supremacists’ group.  Because the Hill’s readers are of the type that will hear about it anyway, and they might start wondering why the Hill hasn’t.
  2. …Rumormonger Gilda Reed lost by fifty points, huh? But didn’t want to use this story because of all the supposed racists in Steve Scalise’s district.  It will shock precisely zero of you that Dr. Gilda Reed is an academic and Democratic agitator of long standing in Louisiana: she was last seen trying to save Mary Landrieu from herself – unsuccessfully.  She’s also demonstrating what I’d call a galloping case of the paranoid jitters if I was any sort of medical health care professional; but I’m not, so I’m just going to note that I’m pretty sure that the Louisiana Republican party probably doesn’t send operatives out to burn down people’s houses*.

Actually… let’s talk a bit more about the second point, for a moment.  Or perhaps a bit ‘around’ the second point.  Might be fruitful. Continue reading Fake Steve Scalise racism story shopped to blogger by vengeful Scalise opponent.

Boston Marathon hoax bomber: performance artist*.

As a matter of official policy I do not use this site or any other to advocate that people be taken out back and beaten with sticks until they are begging for the sweet, sweet release of unconsciousness.

The man arrested yesterday for planting two fake bombs near the Boston Marathon finish line is also a self-labelled performance artist who describes himself as “totes quirkster” and a “fashion designer first and a wannabe entrepreneur second.”

This policy of mine is, I am sure, a good one generally, although I am currently hard-pressed  to come up with a justification for it at precisely this moment. Continue reading Boston Marathon hoax bomber: performance artist*.

#OFA voting drive organizer guilty of Oberlin College racist vandalism spree?

So says the Daily Caller:

One of the two students removed from Oberlin College earlier this year for allegedly circulating virulently racist, anti-Jewish and anti-gay messages around campus  is an ardent leftist and committed supporter of President Obama, The Daily Caller News Foundation has learned.

Dylan Bleier, one of the two students, hosted a voter registration drive in a Walmart parking lot sponsored by Organizing for Action, the community organizing project that advances the agenda of President Obama.

[snip]

Bleier also listed his participation in a group called Ithaca White Allies Against Structural Racism.

Reptoids. The Balloon Boy story involves *Reptoids*.

Why was I was not told this? Apparently the father was looking for evidence that Hillary Clinton is a shape-changing alien – stop laughing! This is a part of contemporary conspiracy theory.

Normally I’d link to the article that Pundit & Pundette had found on this, except that a): the video’s been removed and b): the author of said article decided to make an inaccurate slam against Tea Partiers. I call it inaccurate because, generally speaking, Tea Partiers don’t particularly have anything against the Jews.  Hell, these days most of them aren’t all that personally mad at Hillary Clinton.
