I would appreciate it if Bruce Braley would start pacing himself on the stupid things that he says: I don’t think that it’s fair to let one goofball monopolize my attention (and front page space). We have quite a while before November hits, so there’s no reason why Rep. Braley can’t complete his self-humiliation in a measured and efficient fashion. Although I do admit that he has a talent for this sort of thing:
“One of my highest honors as a lawyer was being invited to the home of my clients to share a meal. It was no different than putting up hay all day in Poweshiek County and sitting down to dinner at noon with the farm family I was helping that day.”
Oh, dear. Protip: when you are trying to abjectly apologize to farmers for getting caught on tape sneering at them to out-of-state tort lawyers, try not to directly equate your life experience to theirs. In fact… why is Bruce Braley even talking? He’s uncontested in the primary and every time Braley opens his mouth, dumb things fly out. The man should go hide for a couple of months.

PS: Yes, yes, I know: doing so will merely give the eventual GOP nominee a chance to define Bruce Braley for him. I think, under the circumstances, it’s an open question whether we’d do a better job at that (from our point of view) than Braley himself…

I see Braley’s campaign manager has thankfully not taken my advice to tell his client to shut up.
It looks like he’s unfamiliar with the first law of holes (when you’re in a hole, stop digging).
“Can I get me a hunting license here?“
