See if you can figure out the flaw in this strategy.
In an election that Republicans want to make all about President Barack Obama, the White House is determined to make him all but disappear in the battleground states that matter.
The White House is putting the finishing touches on a post-Labor Day schedule that will send the president to states where he’s still popular, such as: Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Illinois and California, Obama officials and Democratic operatives said this week.
…Yup, that’s right. The easiest thing in the world is to get into a defensive crouch when you’re in trouble. And the hardest thing in the world is to get out of it. If the President hunkers down and avoids areas where we’re strong, that simply means that we’re going to secure our current gains and go out looking for more. Would I rather fight out the 2014 elections in Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and California? Of course I would! They’re not my real estate!
Yet. The transformation process is going on in a couple of those states, even as we speak. I’ll grant that Obama somehow stopping that would be a setback, but not as much as one as the Democrats might hope.

The problem is that his speeches aren’t being broadcast in Dubly.
I pray the Illinois of my youth returns. It was still corrupt, but it wasn’t crazy.
And even in Wisconsin he’s not all that welcome by his own fellow Democrats. Mary Burke, again, had what must be to her a (ahem) frustrating scheduling conflict and can’t join Obama when he’s in Milwaukee to snarl traffic. She promised that she’d free her schedule the next time.
Ooh. Got a link to that? 🙂
Yep..

Our President’s approval rating is going to ELEVEN …
… percent, that is.
