This is gonna sound weird, but… I don’t think that I’ve actually ever listened to a KISS song.
But that’s impossible, right?

How did you ever get through the latter half of 1976 without hearing their song Beth? It was the B side of Detroit Rock City but started getting airplay on its own so they reissued it as the A side with Detroit Rock City as the B. It set the standard for sappy rock ballad for years.
…I was six?
I turned 8 in the fall of ’76 and I still have that damn song stuck in my head.
Heh. I managed to avoid “Beth” until Glee covered it… Mrs. Cat loves musical theater.
.
I was familiar with some other KISS songs. I’ve always found their musicality to be in sharp contrast with their image …. soft-rock or at best arena-rock songs performed by a crew trying to appear as hardcore as they can… meh.

I bet you’ve heard them and you’ll end up saying “I didn’t know that was a KISS song?!?!?!”
I’m with Darin here. You’ve heard KISS songs, you just likely didn’t know they were KISS songs.
I suspect that both of you are correct.
The only KISS song I heard growing up was “God Gave Rock and Roll to You” as covered by Petra. Good cover.
My understanding is they covered it more than once .. some better than others. Haven’t gone looking, mind.
