Things I just learned.

When you’re in a MMO, don’t do a pickup group for the most difficult mid-level dungeon in the game where there’s a lack of communication and people don’t run through everything beforehand. And know when to politely say “See ya.”

…WHEE.  Well, at least I didn’t get everybody killed this time.

  1. Well, at least I didn’t get everybody killed this time.

Fun exercise: repeat that sentence, only emphasize a different word each time you say it.

Completely changes the way it scans, dunnit?
    .
(“Well at least I” vs. “Well, at least I”, etc.)

  2. Well, at least it wasn’t the WoW dungeon problem. “Everyone knows this dungeon already. We’ll run it at full speed with no communication or stops at all. Mana users or folks who have to stop to cast spells, we’re not going to wait for you and then we’ll gripe about your lousy skills. Let’s go!”

And that griping is more communication than I’ve gotten in most other MMORPGs that I’ve played in the last year. Except Star Wars. Those folks are chatty.

    1. The funny thing is that The Secret World players are generally pretty cooperative and communicative with each other. I’ve seen people report their own teammates for being too rude in PvP chats.
