Is *Hillary* Ready?

This is a very nice Townhall article by Conn Carroll on Barack Obama and how he was not the Left’s Ronald Reagan (unless you count the way that Barack Obama, like Reagan, has made the argument against big government – however inadvertently, in Obama’s case).  But I have a quibble. In short, I always have the same question in my head when I see lines like this:

Hillary Clinton will be a very formidable opponent.

Why?

Enjoy your Sunday.

  1. Because we’ve established that over 50% of American voters are blithering idiots.
Of course, that doesn’t imply that they’ll actually vote for Hillary. They’ll most likely vote for another Democrat who i more convincing when making emotional pleas.

  2. Because the narrative says she must be….

  3. If you make the assertion often enough maybe people won’t question the basis for that assertion?

  4. Lots of money, name recognition, won’t have to squabble with a bunch of other Democratic candidates. If that was all that’s needed, she’d have it in the bag.

    1. not to mention a press corps in the bag, and the fact that anyone running against her is horribly sexist in the same way that anyone who even thought about running against Dear Leader was by definition racist.

      1. Not to mention old, out of touch, damaged by association with Bubba Horndog and the current Droney McKillChildren administration…

So .. yeah. She’s gonna be a formidable opponent *in the Dems primary*.

  5. i’m just worried that the crown won’t meet her expectations, or be ready in time. i wonder… is that why she hasn’t formally announced yet?

  6. So formidable that she lost to a half-term Senator exclusively on the basis of skin color and not voting for the second Iraq war…

Well, fortunate for her that no other Democrats fit that description in 2016.

        1. Another black guy wouldn’t be “historic”.
They need their candidate to be somebody that the LIVs can feel self-congratulatory about voting for in a deeply personal way.
          .
Of course, they’ve somehow convinced themselves that this candidate is Shrillary.
I went to Costco, and bought popcorn in bulk. If Webb gets traction, I’ll need to buy another pallet.

          1. Well, if Cory Booker comes out as gay ( there are rumors) then it would become “historic”

But what if Bill or Huma “accidentally” divulge that Hillary! is a lesbian? Say it with me, boys and girls: intersectionality!

(Is she one? Idunno. But would anyone be surprised if she were?)

  7. You know, speculating about the sexual orientation and/or practices of politicians makes me long for the gentle caress of a face-hugger.
