I could stand to buy something silly if not outright frivolous, I suspect. Any good suggestions for an Amazon.com five-buck bargain? …I’m not really interested in anything practical, unless it’s also ridiculously awesome.

One or two of John Brown’s Dark God books? Similar with Jagi Lamplighter’s Rachel Griffon? Jim Zub’s Wayward? The last is not a good match for the price.
Upvote.
If you have fond memories of Narnia, you’ve got to check out the Rachel Griffon series. (Of course, she’s equal opportunity with her inspiration. I cheered at the Lovecraft quote.)
John Brown is also top notch.
I’ll have to investigate Jim Zub when I have disposable income again.
