Hillary Clinton’s pro-abortion comments shows she’s worried she’s losing.

It’s really as simple as that:

“Extreme views about women, we expect them from some of the terrorist groups, we expect that from people who don’t want to live in the modern world,”[pro-abortion advocate and Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton] said.

“It’s a little hard to take coming from Republicans who want to be the president of the United States, but they espouse out-of-date and out-of-touch policies.”

Because that there is the purest of desperation, in handy crystalline form.  Here’s the reality, for people who aren’t fanatical Lefties: banning late-term abortions is not a radical notion. Neither is removing federal funding from abortion*.  For that matter, compared to most of Western Europe – which is, of course, the favorite touchstone of our self-appointed ‘elites’ – the United States has an insanely permissive abortion regime. Seriously, look up how France and Sweden deal with abortion; pro-lifers would see the adoption of either set of rules by the USA to be a significant victory, and we’d be right to do so**.

As MSNBC notes – with disapproval (!) – the odds that Team Clinton will apologize for this is, well, nil.  That’s mostly because apologizing will hurt Hillary Clinton more in the primary election than it would help her in the general one. And right now the primary election is the problematical one for her.  Nobody really likes Hillary Clinton. They just tolerate her because there isn’t anybody better, thanks to the Democrats’ amazingly helpful (to us) tactic since 2007 of annually eating up all the seed corn. Maybe the entire jury-rigged edifice that is the Clinton campaign will survive until the general. Maybe it will not.  Who knows, really? – But best not to push on it too hard, nonetheless.

Finally: no, actually I’m not particularly angry that Hillary Clinton called me a terrorist.  After all, I know that it’s not true.  On the other hand, I suspect that some of her partisans will be rather upset to find out that I called Hillary Clinton a joyless, incompetent hollow woman of a candidate with no greater accomplishments than existing. Largely because they know that it is true.

*This is often countered by the observation that voters don’t have a problem with Planned Parenthood.  True enough – and that’s why there’s been quite a number of videos lately designed to explain to the public just what it is that Planned Parenthood does. Judging from the reaction of pro-abortion activists, the explanations are having an effect.
